Barrcode is proud to be associated with a new television playout installation at Chiswick Park, West London.

 

Barrcode was commissioned by the worldwide facilities company, Technicolor to write a new software application for the recording, storage and playout of television continuity announcements for ITV.

 

The software, BCXTV, had to handle a multi channel requirement. ITV broadcast a multitude of channels including ITV1, ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4 as well as a whole host of regional opt-outs covering the UK.

 

BCXTV has to communicate with the Technicolor’s automation system using a proprietary TCP/IP protocol.
